How to Maintain The Biological Activity 0f Beer Yeast While Drying it

We provided a professional drying solution for a brewery factory from Brazil. The yeast had an initial moisture content of 80% and needed to be reduced to 10% while preserving bioactivity.

Through technical communication, we maintained steam pressure above 0.4MPa, achieving a throughput of 0.5 tons of wet yeast per hour and yielding 0.11 tons of dried product, while limiting steam consumption to under 0.5 tons per hour for optimal efficiency and economy.

Our unique low-temperature steam control system effectively protects proteins and bioactive components in yeast from thermal degradation, ensuring high activity and stability in the final product. Although our system consumes slightly more energy per unit compared to high-temperature dryers, it significantly enhances end-product quality and market competitiveness.
