Spent Grains Rotary Dryer is Shipped to South Africa

Our company has successfully delivered a custom rotary drum drying system to a client in South Africa. This unit dewaters and dries wet spent grains, which the client will then use as an animal feed additive.

To match the client’s process specifications, the spent grains start at roughly 75% moisture. First, mechanical dewatering lowers their moisture content to 65%. The material then moves into the rotary drum dryer, which reduces moisture further to around 15%. The system runs at a feed capacity of 2 tons per hour to support the client’s continuous production.

The drying system features a rotating drum fitted with internal lifting flights. As the drum turns, these flights keep the material mixed and spread out. This ensures full contact between the grains and hot air for even, consistent drying. Combining mechanical pre-dewatering with hot-air drying cuts the evaporation workload in the thermal drying phase.

This successful shipment highlights our company’s capability to build custom drying solutions for spent grains and other high-moisture organic materials. We continue to deliver dependable industrial drying equipment and solutions for global clients.
